Originally from Virginia, Skip spent many years on the move & finally found his way back to the Blue Ridge Mountains. He received his undergraduate degree in Outdoor Education and subsequently worked in the Rocky Mountains of western Wyoming, the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and most recently the Blue Ridge Mountains here in southwest Virginia. Skip returned to school and received a Master's in Education at Virginia Tech. He spent a couple of years as an elementary school teacher and soon realized his need to be "out and about", thus the transition into real estate. Skip continues to love life in the New River Valley where in his spare time he plays "clawhammer" or "old time" banjo and works on his mountain cottage. He now shares his love for both the mountains & music with his wife, Stephanie, and two daughters, Lexie & McKenna.
Rachel was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, received her undergraduate degree in Recreation Management from Kent State Universtiy in 2001 and moved to Virginia 3 days after graduation for a summer job at a wilderness-based camp and conference center...she never left! She fell in love with the New River Valley and all the opportunities for outdoor adventures. Her degree in Recreation Management was a great stepping stone to a few different professions, but all led to one passion - helping folks accomplish new and exciting goals...whether it was reaching the top of a climbing wall or buying their first home. Past experiences with adventure education and event planning management has given Rachel the opportunity to work closely with people who are striving to achieve major life changes. Her career as a REALTOR proves to be a natural fit. Rachel, her husband Patrick and their son Braden live in Montgomery County with their two dogs, Pika & Cody. She enjoys hiking, biking, canoeing and snowboarding. She also loves to travel and take road trips!!
