The purpose of the NRVAR Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance Program (DPA) is to fill a gap in workforce housing services in the NRV, by providing direct financial assistance to low and moderate income buyers, helping them to purchase homes in the New River Valley. We received $50,000 from the National Association of Realtors Ira Gribin Workforce Housing Grant Fund to capitalize this DPA program. Specifically, our funds are used to make down payment and closing cost assistance loans to qualified applicants. Qualified applicants are households earning at or below 80% of the Area Median Income for their locality.
